GENERAL MEETING | Notice of General Meeting

TAKE NOTICE that a General Meeting will be held on Tuesday, 6 May 2025, from 5.30pm to 6:00pm (AEST) at Level 18, Inns of Court, 107 North Quay 4000, and via Zoom for members to hear and decide a proposed special resolution to amend the existing WLAQ Constitution (Existing Constitution). 


PROPOSED SPECIAL RESOLUTION


That the WLAQ agree to the amendment of the Existing Constitution in the manner set out in the following document:

VOTING AT THE GENERAL MEETING (clauses 37, 38 and 40, Existing Constitution)


A member may take part and vote in a general meeting in person, via Zoom, by proxy or by attorney and is taken to be present at the meeting. Any member who wishes to vote by proxy must complete a Proxy Form nominating another member to vote on their behalf.

All Proxy Forms are to be emailed to secretary@wlaq.com.au no later than 4:00pm on Friday, 2 May 2025.


To be entitled to vote, a member's annual subscription must be active and not in arrears at the date of the General Meeting. If you are unsure of your membership status, please email us at admin@wlaq.com.au or check the FAQ section of the website.


Each member present and eligible to vote, is entitled to one vote only.


A special resolution is a resolution passed at a general meeting by the votes of 3/4 of the members who are present and entitled to vote on the resolution.
